The projects leverage partnerships with key French forest networks: Fransylva Services, which brings together a large network of private forest owners, and Alliance Forêts Bois, a strong actor in the French wood value chain.

Forest restoration and woodland creation across multiple regions in France
The face of France's forests is set to change radically over the coming years: their decline has already begun, with CO2e storage capacity halved over the past decade. French forests face multiple threats, including accelerating tree mortality from prolonged droughts, increasing frequency of storms and forest fires, and vulnerability to bio-aggressors. Through partnerships with Fransylva Services and Alliance Forêts Bois, hummingbirds develops comprehensive forestry operations that improve forest resilience, restore burnt areas, and create new woodlands with climate-adapted species. We have built a portfolio of more than 50 forestry projects located in Bretagne, Normandie, Pays de la Loire, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Occitanie, Bourgogne-Franche Comte, Hauts-de-France et Grand Est.
